Divi Contact Form Not Sending Email: Troubleshooting
By George Nicolaou
A successful-looking form submission and an email arriving in your inbox are different events. Work through the delivery chain rather than changing random form settings.
Check the form first
Confirm the notification recipient, required fields and any message pattern. Submit invented data on the published page and note whether validation succeeds or an error appears. A JavaScript failure can prevent the request before mail handling begins.
Check the mail path
Inspect the site’s mail logs if available, then check spam folders and the sending service. Use an authenticated mail service configured for your domain, and verify its required DNS records with the provider. Do not use a visitor’s address as an unauthenticated From address; use it as Reply-To where appropriate.
Verify actual receipt
Test more than one destination mailbox and inspect the message headers if delivery remains inconsistent. WordPress’s wp_mail documentation explains that a successful return value does not guarantee receipt.
After a fix, repeat the complete user journey and keep enquiry data out of public debugging logs. The recording shows an earlier setup, but the distinction between submission and delivery remains important.
